Have you ever wanted to get a little peek at the wildly creative brain of an author? Us too!
We were delighted that fabulous children’s author George Ivanoff agreed to have a chat with us ahead of his fantastic Book Week event at Belgrave Library on Wednesday, August 26.
Drawing on his much-loved You Choose series, George will guide participants through his creative process, then lead a fun whiteboard activity to help them design their own interactive adventures. Perfect for young writers eager to explore imagination and choice-driven storytelling.

Choose Your Own Stories
with George Ivanoff

Here, he answers a few questions we’ve all been bursting to ask him:

George definitely knows a thing or two about interactive adventures.
He has written more than 100 books for children and teenagers, including the hugely popular interactive You Choose series, Monster Island, The Gamers Trilogy, RFDS Adventures, Other Worlds and the Survival Guides.
George will show kids how he does it in his special Book Week event. Participants will explore how choices can send a story in completely different directions, discover how George plans his own interactive adventures and join him in a fun whiteboard activity to begin designing their own story.
If there’s an 8–12-year-old in your life who loves stories, gaming, inventing worlds or wondering what would happen if…, this one is for them.
