Sally Hepworth to discuss new novel at Festival
We are thrilled to announce that bestselling author Sally Hepworth will discuss her new novel Mad Mabel, and everything writing, at this year’s Dandenong Ranges Literary Festival.
Fresh from rave reviews of her novel – and a stint on the big screens in New York’s Times Square – Sally will join Kerryn Mayne for a special In Conversation event on Saturday, October 10.
Sally is the author of 10 novels about perfectly imperfect women and relationships. With a darkly charming tone and a flair for the dramatic, Sally explores complex interpersonal dynamics in a high-stakes, highly entertaining and addictive manner.
Sally’s novels are available worldwide and translated into 20 languages. With millions of copies sold globally, she is one of Australia’s brightest fiction stars.
The Family Next Door was Sally’s first book adapted for the screen and Darling Girls has been optioned for adaptation by Made Up Stories.

Sally is the latest bestselling author to join this year’s Festival line-up. Chris Hammer will open the Festival at Cameo Cinema on Friday, October 9.
Ahead of the Festival, Monbulk writer Aaron Lamb will share some of the secrets of his success in a special self-publishing workshop on Saturday, July 25.
Aaron Lamb’s fifth and latest book Cults, Coffee and Close Encounters, recently hit number 1 on Amazon, outselling George Orwell and Margaret Atwood for 24 hours on Amazon earlier this year and launching him into rare and elite company.
In his workshop So You Want to Self-Publish, Aaron will discuss key points including the new publishing landscape, getting your book ready, KDP and why it matters, other publishing platforms and the Australian context.
