Thank you for your interest to be a volunteer at the inaugural Dandenong Ranges Literary Festival!
Volunteers will play an integral role in the Festival, including assisting the organising committee, checking tickets at the doors, ushering the audience to their seats, giving directions to venue sites and assisting writers when necessary.
They also represent the Festival and its vision and values, including providing a safe and respectful environment for all participants and attendees.
In order to volunteer at the Festival, you must:

Be at least 16 years old.
- Have a current Working with Children check.
- This can be obtained through the Victorian Government website.
- There is no charge for volunteers.

Volunteers aged under 18 do not require a check.

Be available for a minimum of three hours on the day of the Festival: Saturday, October 18.
- Attend one of the training sessions where tasks and responsibilities will be explained in detail. Training dates are:
- The afternoon of Saturday, October 4 and,
- The evening of Wednesday, October 8.
- Times TBC.
As a thank-you for your time…
Volunteers will receive a ticket to one Festival session on Saturday, October 18.
(We will do our best to accommodate all requests but preferred sessions are not guaranteed.)
